First shots with the Leica mini, I’m in love with this little beauty!
There’s a new addition to the house hold this week, something I’m very overly excited about which is my new Leica Mini 3. I’ve been thinking about getting a point and shoot type camera for quite some time now as I have been using one of those crappy iPhone’s on a day to day basis for random snaps so I’ve decide to go the opposite way and inspire myself to shoot a little more film and...
I need to start skating more often.

Theres a whole lot of rain happening here in Qld at the moment.
Two very old photos of a wonderful evening spent at Archerfield and the first time I ever used a 400mm.
So the blog has been very quiet lately for the simple fact that I am working with Canon 4 days a week, Thursday through till Sunday in fact which cuts out all best days to get content. There’s one major pro out of all of this, I am finally saving the money I need to travel later this year! Then maybe I’ll be able bring some decent images to the blog for a change.

The New Year is upon us folks; let’s make the most of it, bring on 2012!
I was very excited this morning when i woke up to a parcel on my doorstep that was from the U.S of A. In the parcel was my new super clamp and double ball joint head with a snap on camera platform on top of all that. Only having put in my Cusco 7 point cage the night before it proved to be the perfect opportunity to test out the flexibility of the Manfrotto and Cusco systems together.

The second part of my day shooting with Toni&Guy was with Arkie, you might recognise her and these images from the awesome behind the scenes clip Danny Camara made for me. If you haven’t already seen the clip, check it out here.
Once Zoe Thomas had finished styling Arkies hair she had it set in her mind that we wore going to shoot on the footpaths of the city streets during midday sun...
I received the great news only a few hours after my original post warning you guys and gals about the images that wore coming your way. Unfortunately I have been caught up with 8-5 shifts at work the last 3 days and lost all motivation to make a post.
Kelsey and Jodie 2 out of 3 of the girls competing from the Brisbane Toni&Guy salon stole 1st place. Kelsey Jade Andrew took the win for...
I got word this afternoon that the Toni&Guy release date is closing in fast; which means in the next few days i will finally be able to post up the images i have been dying to show everyone since the day of the shoot. Yay!
Plus I ‘am super excited to see how the girls went in the The Apprentice Of The Year competition. I’ve got a good gut feeling they have done well!
Matsuri by night was fantastic, i want to do it again!

I have been going through some older 120 shots lately, i miss shooting with the big and bulky Bronica SQA
Heres the second installment of the Toni&Guy shoot this time round with Arkie form Mirror Mirror agencies. Huges thanks to Danny again for coming out and shooting these BTS clips! (Hair by Zoe Thomas)
I invited my good friend Danny Camara along to the Toni&Guy shoot last week to get some behind the scenes footage. As always Danny pulled through with all the goods! This first video is a small part of the shoot with Iris Elisabeth Hall who amazingly is only 14 years old. (Hair by Kelsey Jade Andrew)
A few weeks ago i found Elizabeth Daphane on Model Mayhem and immediately fell head over heels for her look and knew she was going to be in my next shoot. Within the week we wore in the studio shooting these images, hope you guys love these images as much as i do.

Once again i found myself at Queensland Raceway battling the freezing cold to witness some of the local talent. Its a regular occurrence now to see a Onevia on tack sideways. The one that really caught my eye though was Jamies. I mean who couldn’t love this car coming in on a angle like that with such good looks.
Heres two frames of a typical freezing winters day in Melbourne. I cant wait till I get out of brisbane for a while and just explore another city again.
My little adorable Konica c35.
Last week i spotted this absolute mint condish Trueno at the local JDMST meet. I bumped into the owner of this gorgeous car and he was kind enough to pop the hood for a quick snap. I think im in LOVE!

Saturday afternoon i made my way down to the Archerfield to test out the 5DMK2 and 70-200 2.8 IS i was borrowing from Savvy Studios to cover 2 gigs while they wore away in Sydney for the APPA awards. I haven’t been a huge fan of the night sessions until now because of limiting gear, but the 5DMK2 is certainly winning me over after playing with it over the past week. As you can see for...
I have hoped back on my board a little more then usual the past few weeks and headed to my local park at Fairfield. It wasnt long till i picked up from where i left off and it wasnt to short after i started to see the talent that was around this park. For example Louie (top image) poping these backtails off nearly every go and not to forget Jimmy (below) pulling of this gnarly b/s smithers!
I was shocked to see there was a ice skating arena in the middle of King George Square monday night! Even though its winter here in Brisbane its hard to imagine the power that would be going through the chillers to keep this ice … well ice cold! I feelt so confident hitting the ice with my bright orange pair of skates that by three quarters of the session i had already grabbed my camera...
This months Secret drift morning session had a huge decrease in numbers compared to last months. Which was great for all the drivers out there getting plenty of track time and burning that rubber but didn’t give me much to shoot when out and around the track. Whilist looking through the pits i bumped into Misko another local photographer not with a camera but his SR20DET S13. Before i...
If I’ve taken one thing from photography over the years it would have to be noticing the small things in everyday life, no matter if thats a cloud formation in the sky or looking at the texture of the ground, but every evening i take a peek into my bedroom to see what surprise the golden afternoon rays bring me. Some of you might not get what these photos are about, but it might encourage...
When i first arrived at Sheries house i was greeted by this cutie.
Then Jade and Sherie got under way with hair and makeup.
Our shoot was a more commercial based setting with Pj’s during the start of the shoot but as the day came to a end we started to twist things up and get a little more creativity happening, which in my mind was great! I even brang out my Canon 1V here and...

Saturday I joined Alex Kennison from Savvy Studios to shoot another wedding. The morning started off quite dull with alot of rain but luckly enough as the morning progressed the skys cleared up and the wedding was full steam ahead.
Steve and Amandas wedding is easly my favorite by far as there was no cheesy wedding tunes, They had a mix of classic hip hop beats which surprisley fitted the...
